Dr. Lorenzo Suter on Wix

A senior healthcare executive based in Dakota Dunes, South Dakota, Dr. Lorenzo Suter most recently served as regional president and chief executive officer of UnityPoint Health in Sioux City, Iowa. Responsible for strategic planning, he implemented quality advancement teams that resulted in substantial reductions in various infections. Focused on continuous patient care improvement, Dr. Lorenzo Suter also created a patient advisory council that helped improve satisfaction survey scores.

Previously, Dr. Suter spent several years as chief executive officer of Dupont Hospital, a fully-accredited 31-bed hospital. In this capacity, he helped improve the hospital’s rating from CMS Star Rating 3 to CMS Star Rating 4. He also coordinated more than $6.3 million in hospital-wide remodeling and construction projects.

Dr. Suter holds a summa cum laude bachelor of science from Western Kentucky University, as well as a master of healthcare administration from Vanderbilt University/University of Phoenix and a doctorate in healthcare administration from the same institution. He is involved with a number of charitable organizations, and serves as the financial treasurer and is a board member of the Alabama Food Bank.
